gay people shall skip across the world peacefully

In this world there are around 7 billion people that walk this Earth. Having 7 billion people on a planet makes it so that not everybody is the same. There has to be some difference that entangle everybody. One of those things that seems to be popping up a lot is gay marriage. There is nothing wrong with the thought of a guy and a guy coming together in a very passionate relationship between two men. This world is all stuck with trying to have the perfect life, and look as good as possible, but in reality what this world needs is a little bit of difference and i think legalizing gay marriage is something that can really help make this world a better place. 14% of the world is non- religious which mean that 14% of the world population could possible be gay. In this world today there could be 98 million people could be openly gay. The bible has kind of screwed with a lot of people because there is a passage in it that says on men and women should be married. A book that was widely published is the mastermind behind these anti gay movements  that are happening all around the world.

  1. I like what you said about needing to get away from everyone and everything needing to be the same and perfect. That is an interesting point, that diversity might be what the world needs. But you also said that 14 % of the world is not religious and that means that 14 % could be gay or in homosexual relationships. I dont know if that is a good thing to say because that means that you think that religious people can't be gay and that gay people arent religious. Otherwise I completely agree with you. Maybe add a few more reasons and arguments for why it should be legalized.. GOOD job!

  2. I like the way you include numbers, i think it works well for this kind of essay. you have some good points already but you could also include something along the lines of how legalizing gay marriage wont change our day-to-day lives.

  3. Like Fischer, I was thrown by he 14% observation--not sure what connection you were implying here. If you're going to use the Bible, then make sure that you actually cite specific passages and examine their bearing on the debate.

  4. Just because someone is religious doesn't mean they aren't gay. Look at the play we're reading for example. Lots of gay religious people in that.

  5. I agree with Mitch, you should restate that. On the other hand I like how you talk about diversity and all differences in people all over the world. Differences is good. I also liked the idea of what people think will make then happy and having the perfect ideal life, when really people are different and different things makes people happy.
