coltens
Many interesting situations have occured in my life which I could write about in my collage essay. However, that in itself is the problem. I could write a narrative which includes my ability to ignore negative opinions about myself from others. Or i could write about the ballace of life through the act of slacklining. In other words, im at square 1 with this essay thing. But im sure it will come to me..... eventually?

A slacklining essay would be killer! It's super unique and such an easy metaphor for...everything! Oh! maybe you can have your essay start with the first time you tried slacklining and probably fell a lot and weren't that good. And then by the end of the essay, close it with you being super pro and never falling. In the middle you can talk about how you've learned to make the best out of your life by balancing many different things. School, track, family, friends etc. I'm stoked to see how this turns out
ReplyDeleteNina's right, slacklining is the one to start with (it's still fairly unusual, fun to write about, provides all sorts of concrete setting, and could trigger wonderful ruminations on broad topics like balance, etc. Go with this one first. I look forward to reading it!
