A gender stereotype that came up in your group yesterday for women was, bad drivers. I guess this comes from the idea in the past that men have control and rule the house. and therefore need control of the car. So women never drove and the men didn't trust the women to drive. The men feel they need control. And if someone has to make the mistake they rather it be them not the woman. Since women never had the chance to drive they did not get the experience to become better drivers.
Another stereotype for women was, cleaner. Men may be as clean, but their appearance makes them seem like they don't care. But for women they are expected to dress up and look good for the boys. The women are doing it for men's pleasure. Women want to impress men.
The men nowadays are stereotyped as lazy and stoners. This is because come make it seem uncool and not worth the effort to try. And for this the women get better grades and really care about their future. It may not be true but that is how the men express themselves in school.
Gender stereotypes are still a problem today, they are just different issues than twenty five years ago.
